First Week in the Field

How is everyone doing? I hope yall are living life to the fullest and learning from the hard times. I've had a week full of emotions. I said good-bye to my family on Tuesday, got on an airplane and .....


I AM IN TEXAS NOW!! YAY!

 My trainer is a dope dude and I'm in a quad with another companionship. Two Utah boys, one Idaho potato boy, and my trainer is from Arizona. We all get along but the two senior boys are lazy and we had only one lesson all week. I'll talk more about that lesson though. 

Our apartment is the nicest and newest one I guess in the mission Haha. That is definitely a positive, and we all like to cook which is amazing! All 4 of us have been living off of food for 2 people which had been rough, but that's why we have P-days to get more. They all know the doctrine of Jesus Christ really well, and I now know where I need to be to teach a clear lesson. Singing happens all the time which is an emotion booster. It does get hard somedays because sometimes we can't do anything with this pandemic. We have a bunch of old people in our area so that doesn't help, but they are very nice. The people here in general are just fantastic! 

We have had one lesson and it was with a deaf investigator. O, my comps are ASL missionaries and I am learning a little bit. Well, this man named John was brought to us by his friend (who is a new convert) and we talked to them. While we were talking I had two feelings, the first feeling was a feeling of peace and clarity that the Holy Ghost really does touch others' hearts. All we need to do is choose to let it in. The second feeling was an inspiration to say something. I got really nervous and didn't say anything, which I regret. But my comp had that same feeling and said it, and John was blown away with joy. This feeling which was soooooo warming in my heart has only been felt one other time in my life. After that lesson, I knew why I decided to serve a mission. I want to spread that warm feeling of peace and joy and love of our Heavenly Father with everyone that I can. I invite you to create an environment for the Holy Spirit to dwell in so you can feel it. I promise that if you do this that you will be continually blessed and feel peace and comfort thought your life. 

This week I have learned a ton, and I will talk to ya next week! Te amo muito!

  How are ya doing on this fine Monday afternoon? I'm starting to love Texas and figure out the wonderful things about it, and the things that I take for granted back home.  I'm understanding what's like to live with other young adults. My comps are amazing but everyone has their imperfections and that's what makes us human. My trainer is just in a bad mood like 20 hrs of the day, but the other 4 hrs he is hilarious. You know that I am a clean freak, and man am I learning patience with others haha. God works in mysterious ways to improve ourselves and see the good in life. Can I just say, shopping for food is so rewarding when completed. Thank you mom for always buying my groceries. WE ARE TEACHING A NEW PERSON! His name is Jimmy and he is from Africa. In the first lesson, we were able to teach about the whole Restoration. He is such an amazing person. Weeks 1 to 4

HELLO! First I wanna start off by apologizing for not sending out any emails for the previous 3 weeks. Haha! How is everyone doing? I am loving this MTC experience. Being able to get taught by some of the best people from Brazil is special. Then, being able to share that with my family and friends in person just makes it that much better. Y'all always bring me joy! We all are experiencing new things with this pandemic, so keep up the uplifting mood y'all show me. I hope you all are having a wonderful day and go achieve those August goals!  Exciting news for me... I am going to serve the people of Fort Worth, Texas until I can go to Brazil! I love Texas so much and I am super pumped for this interesting mission experience that I get to serve. Week 5 (One more week!)

Bom dia! I am so glad that I can speak to the wonderful person that you are! How was your week? Did you make anyone smile or laugh? I bet you did, you make me smile and I know that this world is pretty good with you in it, obrigado!  This week was pretty normal and normal looks like this... LOTS of language study, 6ish hours of class a day, tons of smiles and trials, jokes about everything, lunch and dinner with my mom, and a movie a day. There were two things that were different. First, it was national Root Beer Float day on Thursday. We celebrated this day with my grandparents, but before we got them we had to earn them by scraping paint off the old deck. Why are grandparents just the best?! My cousin and I are both serving.  Matt leaves to Dallas Texas this week!  We got to celebrate being missionaries with my other wonderful grandparents, and see Matt with his family one last time.
