Weeks 1 to 4

HELLO! First I wanna start off by apologizing for not sending out any emails for the previous 3 weeks. Haha! How is everyone doing? I am loving this MTC experience. Being able to get taught by some of the best people from Brazil is special. Then, being able to share that with my family and friends in person just makes it that much better. Y'all always bring me joy! We all are experiencing new things with this pandemic, so keep up the uplifting mood y'all show me. I hope you all are having a wonderful day and go achieve those August goals!

Exciting news for me... I am going to serve the people of Fort Worth, Texas until I can go to Brazil! I love Texas so much and I am super pumped for this interesting mission experience that I get to serve. I will keep y'all up to date weekly from now on, I promise hehe.

Now I will talk about my MTC experience. My companion is LEGENDARY, and his name is Elder Stone. Arizona is where he is. He is very chill and I wish you could meet him. He got reassigned to the Prove UT mission, so if y'all bump into an Elder Stone let him know you are epic(inside joke we have). Something that is unusual about our district is that we have had 14 different instructors over these quick 4 weeks. JULY FLEW BY SO FAST! I think this next week we will have 2 permanent instructors, hopefully. Another thing that I hope is to learn how to spread the Word of God in the tongue of the Brazilain people. My favorite part about this is learning the language, but the language is the most difficult part about this journey. I am so glad that my instructors have a TON of patience with me. I know that God has patience with you and He knows you can get through whatever it may be, IF you believe in Him. You got this! Something I have to remember when I log on Zoom to get the day started, and when we start to speak Portuguese. The people of Brazil are so friendly and they love saying, "Muito bom." Muito bom means "Very good" and I love saying it too. Smiles are shared constantly.

If you know me, you know I love to smile and I want to end this email with a message. I love service and I read this scripture this week... And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God. (Mosiah 2:17) I have always loved this scripture and want to invite you to think of one person right now that might need help. Think of a way to serve them, whether that be giving them cookies, or just visiting, or even sending them a text. I promise you that God will be pleased and bless you if you serve your fellow beings. You are sacrificing your time for another and I know you feel SO good for doing it.  He will feel that love from you that He knows you have. And that person that you reached out to, they will feel loved from you and God.

I can't remember the last time I wrote something this long, and I hope it was worth your time. Thank you for being you! Talk to y'all next week! HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK AND KEEPING SMILING because someone needs it!!
